A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY
Moon arches also called circular arbors or altars, originated from the Moon gates of Bermuda. These gates were freestanding circular archways made of stone/tiles, and got their inspiration from the elegant arches set into the garden walls of wealthy Chinese families – okay, so it did originate from China. These Moon Gates have a great religious symbolism for the Bermudan people, and it’s believed that couples who wed under the romantic curves of these gates would share eternal love and a lifetime of happiness. No wonder Bermuda is a hot cake for weddings!
Now for those who don’t want to go all the way there, but want a bit of extra luck on their special day too, there’s a stunning alternative – the moon/circular arch.
