The TOP 5 Tips to Wearing Glasses on Your Wedding Day!

1. Take them shopping with you
You want to get the full picture when you say, 'YES!' to the dress. Bringing along your glasses for the shopping process is important so that you get the full look. Your glasses should complement your dress and vice versa. So, make sure you have your glasses on when you try your dress on!

2. Let your photographer know!
This will be helpful when they are considering how the light will reflect in the flash throughout the day. They may be able to adjust the lighting or use filters to prevent glare in the photos. It helps too if your glasses have a non-reflective coating. Bonus: If you have an engagement shoot included as part of your practice, bringing your glasses along will help you be comfortable with wearing them in front of the camera as you pose.

3. Keep it simple + natural
Yes, glasses draw attention to your beautiful eyes, but they can also compete with your eye makeup. You’ve probably found a few great makeup tips that go along with your spectacles and this advice is for brides with or without frames. When selecting your day-of look, make sure that you keep in mind there will probably be a few happy tears (hint: waterproof mascara) so you want it to look fresh and natural. And keep a few tissues on hand.

4. Accessorize accordingly
Your glasses are part of your whole look. So make sure they don’t clash with your jewelry, veil, or other accessories. Plus, adding some sparkle to your wedding day look will take them from drab to fab! You might opt for a pair of sparkly earrings in the same tone as your frames and a simple bracelet. Keep it simple, but elegant.

Brows have made a big comeback in the past few years and it’s important not to forget about them when you’re wearing your glasses. It’s easy to overlook them when applying makeup. Get them shaped the week before your wedding and make sure that your makeup artist knows that it’s important to you when you do your makeup trial before the wedding. Your brows are what makes your face, believe it or not.
