"Let Them Pick
the dress and one with pockets..."
Being a bridesmaid comes with a long do checklist that requires a lot of energy, time and money. With this in mind, you want to make this a happy experience for both you and your besties leading up to the big. So, here's what we suggest:

These Are The 4 Ways To Keeping Your Bridesmaids Happy
1. Keep things local
Instead of jet-setting to someplace across the country (or even out of the country!) for your bachelorette party, plan the weekend of girl time someplace local. Have a giant slumber party at your apartment or book a hotel room in a less touristy area.
2. Let them pick the dress (and one with pockets)
You may have an idea of the kind of dress you'd like your bridesmaids to wear on your big day, which is how it should be. But, rather than picking out the actual dress, you'd like them to purchase, instead give your girls more freedom by just picking out the color or style and letting them find a dress in their price range and possibly something that they can wear after the wedding. This is a win, win for both.

3. Ask them to Skip the Gifts
Your bridesmaids may feel pressure to give you gifts throughout your wedding adventure. If you're feeling generous, give your bridesmaids a heads up that they don't have to buy you anything for your wedding — and that their time and energy as your bridesmaid is the greatest gift of all.

4. Suggest Accommodations
If your bridesmaids are flying in for the wedding and looking for a place to stay, try to find them a special rate hotel nearby (if you are working with a planner, s/he can take care of this) or even see if local friends and family members can host them so they can save a few hundred dollars for the weekend.
Here is another option, you can Skip the tradition altogether. It's your call.
