Rediscovering Gold & Tulle in a New Light

It’s time to change up your style, and in a big way, with a throwback to the early 2010s that is still relevant today. In case you missed the tulle fabric and gold wax or foil trend, it’s back, and in full force. An elegant, effective way to add a touch of the cutting-edge to any outfit, we’re falling in love with this trend all over again.

Tulle socks, gold wax, hair foiling, and metallic accents are just some of the ways people are upgrading their outfits and the effect is mesmerizingly beautiful as well as being awesomely simple to pull off.

We’re going to give you some suggestions on how you can incorporate tulle socks, gold wax, hair foiling, and metallics into any aesthetic you desire as well as how you can make it work for formal occasions such as weddings.

Tulle Socks (The Reason Why Everyone IsObsessing About Tulle Socks)

When you think of pioneering new fashion trends, we don’t often turn to socks. But tulle socks transform the mundane into the spectacular. Here, we imagine you should pick something out that complements your outfit while also adding a little bit of verve to it at the same time. Because they aren’t terribly large, you can be really creative in this department without throwing off your whole outfit. Plus, you can go for whimsy or high-end fashion - tulle socks work both ways. Because they are somewhat novel to see, you will want to make sure that the outfit highlights them without making them a centerpiece. Towards that end, we recommend embellishments as well as metallic accents or gemstones to help draw attention to the tulle fabric.

Gold Wax (Things You Never Knew About Gold wax)

Gold wax is another item that adds so much to an outfit while requiring relatively little effort or expense to achieve. As with the tulle socks, we recommend using gold wax as a way to enhance an outfit you’ve put together. We wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as the centerpiece for your outfit unless you really know what you’re doing. That’s because a little goes a long way where gold wax is concerned and the effect might become less dramatic the more you apply. Even so, if you’re looking for something quick, easy, and undoubtedly avant-garde, then look no further than gold wax. Naturally, there are other metallic and hued waxes out there so don’t be afraid to experiment.

Hair Foiling (This New Way To Use Hair Foiling Isepic)

No more boring hair
Gold wax and hair foiling might seem to go hand in hand but, ultimately, they achieve somewhat different aims. Whereas gold wax is an accent that can be applied almost anywhere, hair foiling is, naturally, for your hair and has some different dynamics. You can choose from a range of embellishments as well as styling options and even the intensity of the foil. We recommend that you choose properly contrasting foils that complement your outfit while also accenting the overall aesthetic. You don’t want to go overboard nor do you want to do something uncomfortable. Try to keep the occasion in mind as well as your total outfit. Another thing that we would pay attention to with hair foils and embellishments is how they capture and reflect light. We recommend using these techniques to create a silhouette or “limn” yourself with light. You don’t want too much because then you’ll reflect so much light back you appear cherubic in a picture. You want small glimmers and flashes of light that curve around your outfit and act as a highlighter for the entire ensemble. Too much and you’ll blind the cameras, obscuring your well-planned outfit.

A Word About Metallics
Just as with colors, you can use metallics to play off of one another for increased effect. For example, using 70% gold and 30% silver metallics does great things with increasing the reflective light your outfit has while the same ratio except with 30% copper instead of silver will give your outfit a warmer appearance. It may seem like a subtle distinction but it really matters when it comes to coordinating your outfit with your tulle, foil, and other options. You want things that work together, not clash with one another.
