First, start by listing your current expenses:
  1. Identifying how your money is being spent – you may need to cut back on some things to get the wedding you want
  2. Evaluating your spending to see if you can financially meet the priorities specified in your list
  3. Track your spending to ensure you stay within your budgetary guidelines

Second, list the things you both would like to have at your wedding. Below is our list of essential items and things to be considered when DIY your wedding:

Here are the 24 things you should keep in mind while wedding planning:

1. Transportation: Limousine – classic, vintage, modern, etc.

2. Venue – indoor or outdoor, high ceiling, chandeliers, bathrooms, kitchen area, parking, seating, etc.

3. Wedding dress – trumpet, V-neck, mermaid, sweetheart cut, ball gown, tulle, modified A-line, A-line, etc. Designers (Pnani Tornai, Lela Rose, Dany Mizrah, Casablanca, Vera Wang, etc.)
4. Invitations: Printed material – save the date, menu, rsvp, thank you cards, etc.
